permeable system

a reactive environment where the boundaries allow the transfer of information or some other form of affect from outside of the system to within it, and vice versa. Asymmetric permeability at the boundaries of a reactive system will lead to significant changes in the composition of that system over time, potentially exhausting all of the system’s energy and information or diluting its overall reactive mass.
